I am enjoying teaching science to the outstanding students of Bishop Marshall.
Born to optimistic, outgoing parents in the early 1960s, I was raised in Hanover, MA and New Haven, CT, attending Catholic School, learning to play frisbee with local Yale hippies and surviving polyester.
Reflecting on these formative years, I am most grateful for the stable environment St. Aedan’s Catholic School and Notre Dame High School provided.
Enlisting in the U.S. Air Force at 18 years, I spent 21 years serving our country in Strategic Air Command, Space Command, and Air Education and Training Command. I moved nine times, traveled to many wonderful places, and worked with great people.
My military career provided many opportunities that I took full advantage of: education, special duty assignments, part time teaching, tutoring, coaching, Professional Diving Instructors (PDI) Dive Master, lifeguard (Tarague Beach, Guam), amateur bodybuilding, running the 1998 Boston Marathon, and golf.
Upon military retirement in 2003, my family relocated to Vermont. Everyone thought we had lost ours minds but it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Vermont has been a solid base for my family: slower pace, nice people, four distinct seasons, and water for “Pete’s Fleet.”
Teaching at All Saints Catholic Academy is re-energizing and I’m fully enjoying the experience.
