I was born in Germany and moved to the United States as a baby. I grew up on Long Island, NY, where I spent much of my childhood exploring the beach and boating. In 2008, my husband, Jason, and I moved from New York City to Vermont to raise our two children—Liam and Ari—with the freedom to run, play, and connect with nature.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Vermont and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. I’m a licensed teacher in New York State and am currently completing my Vermont teaching license.

Over the years, I’ve worked with children from infancy through second grade, but preschoolers have truly captured my heart. During my time teaching in New York City at PS 59 Beekman Hill International School, I worked with a wonderfully diverse group of students, many of whom were English language learners. I also entered Pre-K not knowing any English myself, so I have a personal connection to the experience of learning a new language at a young age. 

This background has shaped my teaching approach: I focus on creating a calm, nurturing classroom where expectations are clear and children feel confident, safe, and supported. I believe strongly in letting each child grow at their own pace and in providing a warm, engaging environment that encourages independence, exploration, and kindness.
