Hazel Dority

Music Teacher

I grew up in the small town of Fairfield, Vermont, and discovered the joys of music very early on- my family was very musical, and encouraged my brother and I to take piano lessons. I soon began playing the clarinet in the local school’s band, and fell in love with the experience and the ability to have an instant connection with other people simply through the playing and sharing of music. Throughout my life, I have had so many doors opened and opportunities available to me because of my childhood music education, and I have made it my life mission to help kids find this passion as well. Music can be an incredible creative outlet, as well as a tool to convey messages or connect ideas. I believe that the process of learning and playing music shapes people into well rounded, thoughtful, and hard working members of society, and I am excited to work with the students of All Saints Catholic Academy!
In my free time, I enjoy drawing and painting, photographing live music, cooking, skiing, sailing, and spending time with my cat Siouxsie.
I am a 2024 graduate of the University of Vermont, holding a B.A. in Music Education.
