Should All Saints Catholic Academy Pop “The Bubble”?

Posted by Mrs. Wilson

Ours is a small, intimate school. Our enrollment hovers just around 125 students and we have 19 full and part-time teachers, tasked with educating these little cherubs (please note: upper school students are not thrilled with being referred to as ‘cherubs’ but I don’t think too many upper school students are reading Mrs. Wilson’s blog, so I think I’m in the clear). Everyone knows everybody here – in fact, we often know aunts, uncles, grandparents, babysitters, and family friends, too. That’s the beauty of a small, regional school: we are all part of each other’s inner circle. We take care of each other and look out for one another. It really is a family. A big family by society’s standards, an average-sized one by Catholic standards. Just kidding.

Prospective families are always curious to know: where do All Saints Catholic Academy alumni go when they graduate? How is the transition? Are students bored? How do they fare socially? These are all great questions – and if they don’t come up in an initial meeting, I am quick to bring it up because it’s important information to consider.

Many have been part of the All Saints Catholic Academy community for 9+ years and grow quite comfortable in our care. However, what has happened in those 9+ years is profound and formative. During those provide these tools, and our successful graduates are the indicators that our bubble works.
